From Rome Follow the signs for the highway A1 to Florence. Take the Arezzo exit to the junction with Route 73 (SS73) towards Sansepolcro. After 12km go through the village of Palazzo del Pero and after 7km take the bypass past Molino Nuovo. Go past the entrance to the dual carriageway to the “Stop”sign; 100m further on take the left-hand road, signposted to Toppole and Badia San Veriano. After about two and a half km you will arrive at Relais, on the left.

From Florence Follow the signs for Prato. After about three minutes you will see the signs for the highway A1, towards Roma. Take the Arezzo exit (about an hour from Florence) and follow the directions as for Rome, above.

From Pisa: Leave Pisa Airport by the exit next to the hire-car parking lot and turn right towards Florence. Follow the dual carriageway to Florence and just beyond the city take the highway A1 towards Roma. Take the Arezzo exit (about an hour from Florence) and follow the directions as for Rome, above.

It is also possible to take the train on the Milano-Bologna Firenze-Roma main line, getting out at Arezzo.
